Our Vision
It is said that vision begins at the top of every organization. It's also true here in North Carolina. Our Superintendent, Charles Kelly, has fully embraced the church planting vision for the Assemblies of God fellowship. "Every church a parent or a partner" is more than a ministry slogan; it is rapidly becoming a reality. Presently, there are nearly 20 potential church plants in the wings for 2005 and 2006. Pastors from all over the country and around the globe are knocking on our door to partner together in ministry. Is it any wonder?  We live in a beautiful state, from the mountain region to the coastal plains. If we continue in this visionary vein, we will be a district of 300 churches in just a few short years.

Our Field
Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few...." Right now, we are earnestly praying for God to send forth laborers into our harvest field, the state of North Carolina. Some of the cities we are targeting for future church plants are major metropolitan cities such as Raleigh, Charlotte, Wilmington, Greensboro, and High Point. We will also continue to target smaller bedroom communities and strategic cities where future growth is inevitable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Where will future church planters come from?
Answer: Presently, they are transferring in from other districts; however, we envision church planters coming from our local churches, our colleges and universities, and from our North Carolina School of Ministry.

Question: How will we fund these new church plants?
Answer: Our Secretary Treasurer, Randall Rodgers, has established a fund to help underwrite many of our future projects. Church plants will also receive funds from partnering and parenting churches.

Question: Why should my church get involved in church planting?
Answer: It helps us fulfill the great commission! Church planting is the most effective way to win and disciple new converts. When we give people and resources to new church plants, God always blesses us back with even more. "Give and it shall be given unto you. . .."

Question: Isn't church planting only for large churches?
Answer: Churches of less than 100 people are planting churches throughout the country with amazing results. Remember: It's not your seating capacity that matters most; it's your sending capacity.

Question: Where can someone receive proper training to plant a church?
Answer: Training can be received through coaching, through our School of Ministry and from pastors who have been a part of the church planting process.
