Position Details:Job Title: Central Kids Pastor Reports To: Executive Pastor of Ministries Campus: Central Start Date: TBD Salary: Based on experience Workweek: Sunday – Thursday Focus Church Snapshot: Focus Church is an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing, multi-site church in Raleigh, NC reaching over 1,500 people on the weekend. Short Job Description: As a Focus Kids Pastor, you’ll get to oversee Focus Kids, the children’s ministry at Focus Church. This position works as part of the Next Generation team as includes leading a lead team and overseeing the day to day operations of a healthy and effective ministry. General Responsibilities You’ll lead by example, modeling the standard in spiritual growth and principles, including the values of our church – using your gifts, giving generously, and building relationships through groups. You’ll be intentional about developing the leaders on your team. You’ll coach a team by holding regular meetings for personal leadership, competencies, and ensure accountability. You’ll work to empower the team to reach families, promote community, and partner mid week with those families. You’ll lead the way in recruitment for Focus Kids and various family related events. You’ll make curriculum decisions that impact families across multiple campuses. Must-Haves Familiarity with Focus Church Work experience in multisite church Experience in a job with hard deadlines Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure Clean criminal background check as defined by Focus Church Strategic thinking partnered with sensitivity for the lost Decisive, with a proven track record of high performance Strong ability to communicate from the platform Love for children and families Familiarity with writing and implementing policy 4 year degree or equivalent work experience Nice-To-Haves Familiarity with Focus Church Leading a volunteer team of over 150 people Working at a church over 800 people for more than 3 years Knowledge of Orange Curriculum Credentialed minister or plan to obtain Familiarity with Google Apps, Slack & Planning Center platform
