Position Title: Worship Leader/Pastor

Position Details: Vision of Newsong Church We exist to awaken people to Jesus, His kingdom, and their calling. Position Summary The Worship Pastor leads the worship and production ministries, crafting Spirit-led, distraction-free environments where people can meet with God. This role shepherds musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers while building a worship culture that supports the vision of awakening people to Jesus. Work Schedule (Approximate & Flexible) Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Team practice) Sundays: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Times may vary based on events, seasons, and ministry needs. Key Responsibilities 1. Weekend Worship Lead and plan worship services with the Lead Pastor. Shape service flow and creative elements that support the message. Maintain Planning Center (minimum four weeks ahead). Provide accurate charts and resources by Thursday at noon. Lead pre-service prayer and share weekly prayer needs. 2. Production & Tech Oversee AV and production for services and events. Schedule, lead, and support tech volunteers. Ensure smooth Sunday execution and weekly audio capture. Maintain organized stage, booth, and storage areas. Recommend needed gear upgrades. 3. Team Development Recruit, train, and disciple worship and tech team members. Lead team devotionals, worship nights, and prayer gatherings. Create growth pathways for volunteers. Foster unity, community, and spiritual depth. 4. Administration Manage scheduling and communication in Planning Center. Complete CCLI reporting. Participate in leadership meetings and major church events. Communicate clearly with pastoral staff. General Expectations Consistent presence at Sunday services, rehearsals, and key gatherings. Lead from spiritual maturity, emotional health, and servant-hearted humility. Maintain personal rhythms of worship, Scripture, and prayer. Embody Newsong’s values, doctrinal statement, and Key Leaders Covenant.
